MSHA APPROVED
EMERGENCY RESPONSE COMPONENTS
In partnership with Modern Mine Safety Supply, LLC we are excited to offer our MSHA Approved Emergency Response Components. Modern Mine Safety Supply, LLC has designed and developed four components for use within your Emergency Response Plan.
- MSHA Approved Explosion-Proof “Mine One Air” Carbon Dioxide Scrubbing System
This is a self-contained system designed to absorb carbon dioxide exhaled by occupants that are present in a sealed area or refuge area in an underground mine. The system is also designed to replace the oxygen that is consumed by the human occupant respiratory process during the time that he/she is present in a sealed area or refuge in and underground mine.
We also have a High Volume Carbon Monoxide Removal System in development. The system will utilize the same technology as the “Mine One Air” Scrubbing System.
This system is completely self contained and is designed to move air in an enclosed area or for any other situation that requires powered air movement.
The system is MSHA approved as explosion-proof, and can be used in areas where permissible electrical equipment is required, or when there has been an emergency event that requires that power be removed from the mine. The blower can be used as a stand alone device or in conjunction with the Modern Mine Safety Supply LLC's “Mine One Air” Carbon Dioxide Scrubbing System.

This is a self-contained MSHA approved explosion-proof air conditioning system designed to remove heat generated in mobile mine refuge chambers and permanent refuge areas. The System should be capable of maintaining the occupation areas of mobile mine refuge chambers and permanent refuge areas below the MSHA proposed apparent temperature of 94 degrees apparent. The unique design on this system makes the unit easily adaptable to various mobile refuge chamber manufacturers designs. This system can also be configured into various different layouts that may be used to establish permanent outby refuge areas. The technology can also be can be adapted to other underground mining and industrial applications where permissible or explosion-proof equipment is required. (For Example: Operator cab cooling in high ambient temperatures, MCC rooms etc.)
