MINE REFUGE ALTERNATIVE

Refuge Chambers fabricated by Modern Mine Safety Supply are designed to give miners a safe haven during and after an underground emergency.

              

Our chamber is made of high quality 1/4 inch steel fabrication capable of withstanding all mine duty use and is certified by the West Virginia Office of Miners' Health Safety & Training.

 

The refuge chamber is extensively equipped and designed to keep survivors as safe as possible for up to 96 hours, or until rescue teams can reach them. An artificial environment has been created to provide adequate air, food and water and sanitary needs of survivors. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of safety and service we can offer, giving a second chance to those who may not otherwise have one.
